About Me

Hi! As a highly motivated Bioinformatician with an Engineering background, I bring a unique blend of technical expertise and passion for public health to my work. With over 8 years of experience in genomics and bioinformatics, I am an experienced professional, well-equipped to analyze complex sequencing data to drive meaningful insights of clinical and research significance.

My expertise lies in single-cell and bulk RNA sequencing data analysis, as well as T-Cell Repertoire analysis. I have built a strong foundation in immunology, human and cancer genomics (utilizing Continuing Education and Professional Certification opportunities). As a bioinformatics scientist for the US National Institutes of Health (NIH), I supported research groups in analyzing sequencing data for various clinical and research projects focused on disorders of the immune system (such as Hyper Eosinophilic Syndrome, Spondyloarthritis, Type 1 Interferonopathy, etc). A more comprehensive list of my skills and certifications is linked here.

During my doctoral studies at the University of Illinois, I developed a deep understanding of the cellular mechanisms underlying different yeasts and bacteria through various genomics and bioinformatics analyses. Since then, I have led numerous data analysis projects across diverse organisms (bacterial, yeast, mouse, monkey, and human genomes), spanning over 30 projects. My experience has equipped me to navigate complex interdisciplinary research settings, where I have successfully managed projects independently and in collaboration with colleagues from various backgrounds. My publication record is linked here.

In addition to my technical expertise, I possess strong project management skills and business experience in the consumer goods sector, developed through my participation in the Unilever Future Leaders Programme and my past role as a Product Manager at Unilever Research.
